Forum Rules
Our rules system is based on handing out warnings if you break any rules. Whenever you get warned, you receive a certain amount of points that expire after 4 months. If you accumulate too many unexpired warning points at the same time, your account will be banned (explained more at the end of this post).
Below is a list of all our rules and a guideline for how many warning points you could get for breaking a specific rule. It is up to the Moderators to decide how many warning points you get and you will generally get more points if you repeatedly break the same rules and show no willingness to improve.
1. Do not spam 1 point
Spamming is when you make meaningless posts that contribute nothing to the topic or discussion at hand.
Posting messages in another language than English is also considered spam.
Avoid choosing misleading topic titles for the sake of drawing attention.
Spamming includes "mini-modding", when you post to tell that another member has broken the rules. Use the report button instead.
2. Make an effort to use proper spelling and grammar 1 point
Avoid using chatspeak, posting in all caps and using an excessive amount of emoticons and exclamation marks.
While we don't require you to have perfect spelling and grammar, you should at least put some effort into it. Using a spellchecker would be of great help here.
3. Be respectful towards others and have a positive attitude 1 - 3 points
Harassing, bashing and bullying other members is not tolerated, including retaliating to such behavior in similar fashion. You can be critical of someone else's opinion and argue against it, as long as you avoid launching personal attacks.
Do not use vulgar or offensive words.
Racist, sexist, homophobic, ignorant and hateful comments are also not tolerated.
Do not troll. Trolling is when you post with the intent of provoking other members or generating controversy. This includes pretending to be dumb.
Be positive. Do not spread negativity and avoid being elitist and arrogant.
4. Do not post inappropriate content 3 points - 5 points; permanent ban if joining to post such material
Do not give out any personal information about other members. If they want to share any information, they have to do it themselves.
Do not distribute or post links to illegal material, including ROMs.
Do not post any pornographic or shocking material.
5. Do not unsolicitedly advertise other websites 1 point; permanent ban if joining to advertise
Creating topics to advertise other websites is not allowed. Links to other websites can be provided if they're relevant to the discussion.
The only place to advertise something is in your signature.
Joining Pokestadium solely for advertising is not allowed.
